What a year it’s been here at LaneSystems! We’ve taken on amazing new team members, employed fantastic apprentices, been nominated for an award, had a birthday, held intriguing workshops, displayed at some of the regions finest expos and even more! Let’s take a look at a few highlights of 2019.

25 Years in Business

Perhaps our most exciting news this year is turning 25 (and we haven’t stopped talking about it)! We’re extremely proud of how long LaneSystems has been in business and this shows our clients not only the dedication we have but also how we have built a formidable reputation. It’[s wonderful to be surrounded by loyal clients and a great internal team. By way of celebration we held a coffee morning in aid of the Macmillan Trust and have been visiting long-serving clients with cake (whilst staying for a slice of course)!

New Team Members & Apprentices!

Laura

Back in early May of this year we were thrilled to welcome Laura Hartland-Adams to the LaneSystems family. Laura joined us as a Sales Consultant and has not only successfully turned her hand to this, she has taken the lead in marketing also. Laura has put in some fantastic processes and procedures that have resulted in a much larger brand awareness for the company. You can learn a little more about Laura, here.

In addition to Laura we have welcomed two wonderful apprentices also. Matthew Paley began working as a Cyber Security Apprentice in April and he has since gone on to pass specific exams gaining fantastic qualifications. We are very much looking forward to continuing working with Matthew in the new year.

Our most recent addition to the team is Katherine. Working as an admin apprentice alongside our time-served Hayley, Katherine hit the ground running and as well as her administrative duties has taken on some of the social media aspects. We have yet to interview Katherine for our blog so watch this space in the new year!

Nominated for the North East Charity Awards!

We were absolutely humbled to have been nominated this year for the North East Charity Awards by some of our clients. These included MAIN, Ethicare Durham, Citizens Advice Newcastle and South Tyneside Citizens Advice. Having made it to one of the final three we were invited along to an amazing evening where the winner was announced. Whilst it wasn’t us, we remain pleased to have been nominated and will continue supporting charities across Christmas and into the new year.

Topics we’ve Covered

Each month we focus upon a specific topic at LaneSystems. It’s a great way to offer focus and the relevant industry information to clients and our audience as and when it’s released to the media. This year we have looked into hardware, added value, Cyber Security, Corporate Responsibility, Software and the work we carry out with charities.

Main Points Covered?

This is the ideal time to point out just a couple of factors you need to be aware of. We want everyone (not just our customers) to ensure their data at work is fully protected. With results of a data breach potentially devastating we wrote a brief article called ‘What is a Cyber Attack and are you Prepared’? If you’ve not already, please make this the one blog you read. It could save your business.

Secondly, if you’re a Windows 7 user, upgrade to Windows 10 NOW! As of 14th January 2020, Microsoft will no longer be offering support for Windows 7 leaving you vulnerable to attacks.

A HUGE Merry Christmas & a Happy New Year!

We would like to wish every single one of our clients, readers, callers and audiences across all the channels we use, a massive Merry Christmas. We’ve experienced a wonderful year, have enjoyed increased brand awareness and have been fulfilled by the additional charity work carried out. We hope you all enjoy the festive period whilst eating plenty of delicious food. Enjoy a wonderful New Year with family and friends and we will look forward to being back with you in 2020!

MERRY CHRISTMAS from the LaneSystems team.
